He referred to the barn as his “happy place” as it was meant as a replica of the one from his family’s farm in Marceline, MO. The Carolwood barn has since moved to it’s current home at the Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum, of which Walt was a founding member. Los Angeles has rooftop bars to enjoy creative cocktails & trendy places to eat, but it also has the Halliwell Manor! The Victorian-style manor is near Echo Park, so you can spend the afternoon in the area; hang out at the park, reading a book under the cozy shade of a swaying palm tree. The Book of Shadows is a family spellbook filled with all the essentials of witchcraft. The Book of Shadows includes spells, incantations, instructions for potions, & everything in between.

The coastal cities are Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Oceanside, Solana Beach, and Vista. Los Angeles has literally thousands of things you can potentially do, so this is just something to do if you have extra time or are a Charmed fan. Surprisingly, it's not very well known that the Charmed manor is actually in LA. I found it on accident as I was looking at the map, it just showed up. Is this a WanderDisney location you’ve visited or is it on your bucket-list? Both Walt and Lillian continued to live in this house until their respective deaths.

There is so much to explore here, whether you are a family, a school group, community organisation or just someone eager to find out more. Drawing inspiration from the Southern California landscape, as well as the art movement in the 1950s and 1960s when artists like Ed Ruscha, David Hockney, Robert Erwin, and others found an unlikely home in the city.

The tv show received a cult following of people who enjoy watching the episodes to this day. It's definitely a real house & a stunning one at that, well from what I've seen at least since you can't tour it. However, the exterior of the house is different than the set they used for the inside of the house. The furniture on TV is not the same as the actual interior of the house.

During the Second World War, Harewood House played a vital role as a convalescent hospital for injured soldiers. The family opened their doors to provide care and comfort to those who served their country, ensuring that the house continued to serve a noble purpose even during times of adversity. One of the notable features of Harewood House is its association with renowned architect John Carr, who designed the grand mansion in the Palladian style. Carr’s architectural vision, coupled with the exquisite craftsmanship of the craftsmen and artisans, resulted in a masterpiece that stands proudly to this day. The history of Harewood House dates back to the 18th century when it was commissioned by Edwin Lascelles, the 1st Baron Harewood.

For me, seeing Harewood full of people who are enjoying it is what gives it all meaning, what makes it all worthwhile. I hope all visitors leave with their own particular memory of the place. It could be of a painting or a magnificent piece of Chippendale furniture. It could be of the sweep of Brown’s landscape or the formal floral splendour of Barry’s Terrace.
