Carnival Cruise Line’s Spirit Class offers a wide variety of balcony staterooms, designed with light woods, generous storage space and the line’s acclaimed ultra-comfy beds with extra-thick mattresses and padding. A sushi cart is set up each afternoon outside of Maguire's Bar with rotating options like shrimp, assorted rolls and salmon, all free of charge. Balcony staterooms are your best and most updated options, particularly the premium balcony staterooms, which offer a slightly more updated aesthetic. You have several balcony options to choose from, including extended balconies and obstructed view balconies.

The dress code on Carnival Miracle – and, indeed, on the entire Carnival fleet – is rather laid back both during the day and in the evening. At the Fountainhead Cafe on Deck 2, we found charades, trivia contests and Scattergories. At the RedFrog Pub next door was shuffleboard and afternoon karaoke. The Ariadne Room, Deck 2, was home to seminars on acupuncture, posture and metabolism, and a ladies pamper party (the goal of all these was to sell passengers spa services). The Lido Stage, next to the midship pool on Deck 9, was the place for family games, the hairy chest contest and the ship's sail-away parties. When a major sports game was played, the TVs at SkyBox Sports Bar would be tuned in.
Carnival Miracle Suites Offer Additional Perks and More Space
Shampoo and shower gel were available in fixed dispensers inside the shower. There was bar soap, but no conditioner or body lotion were provided. We found ample storage for two, especially when using the drawers and open areas under the beds. The three side-by-side closets were floor-to-ceiling height, and each 20 to 22 inches wide.
In fact, 64 percent of the cabins on Carnival Miracle have a balcony, whereas balcony options throughout the rest of the line’s fleet represent less than 50 percent of the cabins. However, it is worth noting that Carnival Miracle balcony rooms on deck 5 (a.k.a. Upper Deck) have views obstructed by either lifeboats or tender boats. (These cabins are labelled Balcony Obstructed View on the ship’s stateroom charts.) The same is true of the inside Carnival Miracle units known as Interior with Obstructed View (also known as interior room with French doors). Despite their name, these staterooms on deck 4 of Carnival Miracle have windows facing the outdoors, but the views are blocked. In 2012, a more expansive dry dock took place, during which Carnival updated staterooms and suites and created the Serenity adults-only area. Vista Suites on Carnival Miracle are all found at the rear of the ship, on Decks 4 through 8. They measure 240 square feet inside and have an extended, 220-square-foot wraparound balcony with two deck chairs and two lounge chairs.
